Pastor Sean has served in pastoral ministry for 17 years, and his greatest joys are preaching and teaching the Word of God, especially to youth. He loves watching the Holy Spirit enlighten hearts and minds through the Gospel, and he considers it one of the greatest privileges of his calling.
A graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (Master of Divinity), Pastor Sean is deeply rooted in the confessional heritage of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. He treasures the LCMS for its unwavering commitment to Word and Sacrament ministry, where God Himself comes to His people with forgiveness, life, and salvation. The inerrant Word of God stands at the center of his preaching and teaching, for it is through the Word that God gives power to the Sacraments and creates the faith by which we are eternally saved. His favorite Bible verse, Romans 1:16, captures this conviction: “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” Before entering the ministry, Pastor Sean served his country for eight years in the United States Army, including deployment in the First Gulf War. He later worked as a police officer and a corporate sales representative. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Oklahoma University (Cameron). These diverse experiences have shaped his pastoral heart—giving him a deep compassion for people from all walks of life. Pastor Sean is married to Angela, a Surgical Nurse Educator with UPMC. Together they have two sons and are blessed with three grandchildren who bring them endless joy. Outside of ministry, Pastor Sean loves the outdoors--hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and boating—and he enjoys unwinding with a good thriller novel. His favorite author is James Rollins. Pastor Sean is grateful to serve at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, a warm and loving congregation that cares deeply for people and seeks to share the Word of God within the communities they call home. Visitors quickly discover that they are welcomed, supported, and embraced by the members of this church family. |
