What to Expect in Worship
Our worship style is traditional. We follow the liturgy from the Lutheran Service Book. On the second, third and fifth Sunday of every month, we have organ music. On the first and fourth Sundays, we have piano accompaniment. We celebrate Holy Communion every Sunday. During the seasons of Lent and Advent additional worship services are offered on Wednesday evenings. Christmas Eve and Christmas Day worship services are offered as well.
Our Communion Practice
In accordance with God's Word, we urge all of our communicant members to commune each time Christ's Body and Blood is offered. Scripture teaches that the Lord's Supper is a precious gift of God in which Christ gives His true Body and Blood, together with the bread and wine, for the forgiveness of our sins and the strengthening of our faith. Because the Bible teaches that the Sacrament may also be harmful if misused and that the participation in the Lord's Supper is an act of confession of faith, Pastor communes only those who have been instructed in the teaching of our church body (Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod) and who have confessed their faith in these teachings. If you have not spoken with Pastor prior to service regarding communion, you are still welcome to come to the altar to receive a blessing. If that is your intent, please signal to Pastor that you want a blessing by crossing your hands over your heart.
